Discover My Story
Hi, I’m Caroline a Connecticut based photographer capturing families, motherhood, couples, and women building their brands.
Heres a few things you should know about me.
Coffee comes before conversation. I will literally wake up before my toddler just so I can drink it in peace before dealing with anybody or anything. 😂
I’m also what I like to call a serial hobbyist. If something interests me, apparently I need to learn everything about it immediately.
Sourdough? Went all in.
Guitar? Yep.
Homemade skincare? Of course.
Jewelry making? Tried that too.
Currently my dream is to learn how to sew dresses and things for me and my daughters.
I homeschool, spend a ridiculous amount of time driving kids around, have chickens, two dogs, a daughter with a horse, and somehow I continue adding animals and responsibilities to my life when I absolutely do not need another responsibility.
I’m a homebody at heart. Give me a day at home cooking, drinking something out of a fancy teacup, reading books and playing dolls with my toddler and I’m pretty happy.
My toddler also happens to be one of the funniest people I know. She basically sounds like a 25-year-old trapped in a two-year-old’s body, and I never know what’s going to come out of her mouth.
And if I’m cleaning the house, there’s a pretty good chance worship music is playing in the background.

How I ended up behind the camera.
Funny enough, my first camera actually had nothing to do with family photography.
I bought it while I was working in a barbershop because I wanted better pictures of my haircuts and my clients.
But then I started noticing everything else.
The old man sitting by the window reading his newspaper. Kids playing in the waiting area. The way the light came through the windows. The other barbers working and laughing with their clients. The little details around the shop that made it feel like our shop.
I realized I loved photographing people when they weren’t necessarily thinking about being photographed. I loved connection. I loved the little in-between moments. And I also really loved creating photos that helped showcase the business and the people behind it.
Looking back now, it makes total sense that I ended up photographing both families and brands. I was kind of doing both from the very beginning without even realizing it.
Then Motherhood changed things.
After my youngest daughter was born, we had family photos taken.
When I got those pictures back, I remember looking at the connection in them and thinking, wow… I would really love to do this for other families.
And I think it hit me differently because I already knew how quickly those years go.
My older kids were born before we all had smartphones in our hands and I definitely didn’t own a fancy camera. I was also a young mom without a lot of money, and professional family photography just wasn’t something I was investing in back then.
I really don’t have many great pictures of those years.
The ones I do have are mostly terrible quality, and if I’m being real, that makes me sad now.
So with my youngest, I look at it completely differently. I want to remember as much as I possibly can. I want her to someday look back and have a clear picture of what she looked like, what our family looked like and, more than anything, how much we absolutely loved her.
That has become such a huge part of why I photograph families the way I do.

The biggest part of who I am
My faith isn’t something I want to tack onto the bottom of an About page because it sounds nice. My relationship with God genuinely affects the way I live my life and the way I try to treat people.
Before knowing God, I always felt like there was this empty hole in my heart and I couldn’t really explain what was missing.
Now I know Who I can lean on.
My faith gives me a foundation for how I make decisions and how I try to respond to people. I want to be gracious. I want to be kind and gentle. I definitely don’t always get it right, but it’s what I strive for.
It also has a lot to do with why I value marriage, family and motherhood so deeply.
I adore my husband. He’s my rock, my protector, my provider and truly my other half. I love the life and family we’ve built together.
And I especially want moms to know that what you’re doing matters.
You don’t have to own a business. You don’t have to constantly be accomplishing something outside of your home to be doing something important.
Being a mom is important.

This is what I hope your pictures become
Someday, I want your daughter to look at these photographs and see how loved she was.
I want her to see the way you looked at her and the way she fit into your arms.
I want her to see how young and beautiful her mom was.
I want her to see a childhood that was beautiful, not because everything was perfect, but because she was deeply loved.
And I want her to know that being her mom wasn’t a burden to you.
It was your pride and joy.
That’s what I want to give families.
Not just something pretty enough to post today.
Something your children might understand completely differently twenty years from now.
